Students Take the Lead
In excellent examples of student leadership, two groups of Primary students have recently taken the lead in contributing to their community.
A group of Year Five children have established a Kindness Club, which delivers coffees to hardworking staff, and another group of children have approached the Primary Leadership Team to start a student-led newspaper.
Activities such as these in the Primary School ladder up to the CAS element of the International Baccalaureate, undertaken by the oldest students at the School.
Standing for 'Creativity, Action and Service', CAS is not formally assessed as part of the diploma, but it is a mandatory aspect. CAS projects challenge students to show initiative, demonstrate perseverance, and develop skills such as collaboration, problem solving and decision making.
