Internationalism is "the practice of cooperation between nations. It means the understanding of the world, the understanding of cultures, beliefs, religions around the world."
From 27 to 29 November, BSJ celebrated International Week 2017 across the entire School. The celebrations started off with an assembly in the Raffles Theatre, during which students performed acts to represent their country or the culture of the language they study at School. We saw a series of performances in Hindi, Indonesian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.
During the three days of festivities, students participated in activities to celebrate internationalism during lessons, break and lunch times. Among many others, they took part in competitions, quizzes, dances and songs. On the final day, students and staff 'dressed to impress' and represent one or more countries, resulting in many memorable costumes.
