News from the PTA

Whilst it might only be March, 2018 has been a busy year already for our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Following a successful Christmas Bazaar, the Association returned to School refreshed and raring to go. Building on an ever-growing team, they welcomed many enthusiastic new members in January, who have thrown themselves into various activities and are already consolidated members of the committee.

Alongside the PTA's regular activities, such as providing fruit for sports days, and serving drinks and snacks at functions, key events so far this year have included the Lunar New Year celebrations, for which PTA members provided many different activities and some fantastic decorations across the campus. World Book Week saw the PTA hold a secondhand book fair, which is always popular with students who enjoy restocking their libraries at home. Demand for the PTA's Indonesian language and Angklung lessons has also grown each term.

We were all incredibly excited at the beginning of February about the arrival of a new inflatable obstacle course for the swimming pool, which was funded by the PTA. Following a lengthy ordering period, it is enormously satisfying to see the final product and to replace the old 'Komodo Island', which has given students so much enjoyment over the years.

Parents and teachers who are interested in joining the PTA's dynamic team, either to help at an event or on a more regular basis, should visit the PTA office or email
