TAs Develop Expertise

Earlier this month, seven Teaching Assistants (TAs) from BSJ attended a 'job alike' workshop at Patana School in Bangkok, organised by the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).

Each attendee completed a shadow day with a Patana TA. Between them, they also presented six workshops, sharing elements of good practice from BSJ and prompting much rich discussion.

Prior to leaving for the trip, each TA dedicated many hours of their own time to prepare their slides, practise presenting to others, reflect on feedback and collate resources. Their commitment was evident in the high-quality workshops they delivered.

This was the first overseas development opportunity for our TAs. They now look forward to sharing their experience and knowledge with their BSJ colleagues.
