Thanking Staff at Idul Fitri
Two BSJ students have organised the collection of 600 food hampers for our Indonesian staff, to coincide with the culmination of Ramadan and Idul Fitri next week.
Keen to demonstrate the community's appreciation of the staff who work hard behind the scenes, Elysha Pribadi and Josiah Simatupang galvanised the entire School community to donate local products, such as syrups, dates, cookies and crackers.
Each year group was designated a particular item, generating a huge response, with many students and parents involved with the daily collation and packing into reusable shopping bags.
Our Indonesian staff will receive their hampers and also enjoy some of the donations at tomorrow's whole-school buka puasa.
With so many hampers to distribute, the team will also donate some to Sekolah Bisa!, a micro primary school founded and still supported by students at BSJ.
