Students Secure Early Places at US Universities

This year, more BSJ students than ever before applied to US universities through the Early Decision route.

Early Decision applications are notoriously challenging, so this level of uptake indicates our students’ calibre and commitment to the sophisticated universities preparation programme that we offer.

For a third successive year, a BSJ student secured a place at Stanford University, to study Computer Science. Another was successful in his application to the School of Engineering at Vanderbilt University, a private, research-based institution that counts Al Gore among its alumni.

Requiring an average ACT score of 33/36, Boston College received 9,000 applications in 2016, a 5% increase on last year. A BSJ student was among the 3,000 early acceptances.

Two of our students achieved scholarships alongside their early places; one at the School of the Art Institute Chicago and another at Suffolk University, Boston, in the School of Business.

Other students secured early places at Babson College, Boston; Emerson College, Boston; and Fordham University, New York.
