On 25 & 26 May, we held the Y1&2 and KG1&2 Swimming Showcase Galas, and it was wonderful to see the students participating with so much enthusiasm, confidence, and enjoyment in the water.

The KG1&2 Swimming Galas focused on a variety of fun swimming stations and activities, giving students the opportunity to showcase the water confidence, swimming development, and important water safety skills they have gained throughout the year in their swimming lessons.

The Y1&2 Swimming Gala featured a combination of swimming races and novelty events, where students demonstrated their growing swimming ability, teamwork, and confidence in a fun and exciting environment. In the Y1&2 Gala, Agung and Merapi finished as joint champions, with Bromo close behind in 3rd place and Krakatoa in 4th.

Across all the galas, the students were excellent, and it was truly special to see so many smiling faces from both students and parents as part of this celebration of swimming. These galas highlighted BSJ’s strong emphasis on developing this critical life skill from an early age, while helping all students become confident, safe, and happy in the water.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to all the parents for their fantastic support throughout the galas, which helped create such a positive and special atmosphere for the students.
