International Award
International Award: BSJ offers students the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, which requires students to take part in two adventurous journeys during the program. These journeys take place in an outdoor setting, both within West Java and also further afield in Indonesia. Students work in groups to plan their journey, navigate their route, prepare meals and apply outdoor skills in a supervised environment.
All BSJ visits are subject to a stringent set of procedures and policies to ensure that the inherent risks associated with school visits are managed appropriately to ensure that safe practices are adhered to; including medical provision, dietary requirements, child protection, adventurous activity protocols, communication protocols and incident / emergency procedures.
