2022 I/GCSE Results

The (International) General Certificate of Secondary Education are examinations which comprise the standard qualification in England and Wales for students aged 14 to 16. All students take cumulative examinations in the following required core subjects: 

• English (Language and Literature) 
• Mathematics (Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics, Vector Geometry) 
• Coordinated Sciences (Double Award or Triple Science) 
• World Languages (French, Mandarin, Spanish or Indonesian) 

Students choose three from a list of optional subjects: Korean, Chinese, Business Management, Economics, Geography, History, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design Technology, Physics, Physical Health & Education, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. 

Grades are awarded on these scales: CIE A*-G; Edexcel and AQA 9-1. A* or 9 grades are only awarded to less than 5% of students, therefore are awarded to only those extremely high achieving students.
