Our Campus

BSJ's Campus remains the best in Jakarta for student wellbeing.

Established initially in the city centre, the School moved to an 18-hectare estate in Bintaro, 7km south-west of the capital, in 1994. On the edge of one of the world's busiest cities, many visitors are still surprised to find such an expansive green space. Its architectural style gives tribute to Indonesian heritage, while also prioritising the needs of the modern-day learner.

There are dedicated areas for Primary, Secondary and specialist studies, such as Languages and Performing Arts. Our theatre complex includes two stages, a dance studio, and rehearsal and make up rooms.

BSJ is also one of the best-resourced schools in Asia for sport. We have five tennis courts; extensive grass and artificial playing fields; covered areas for games; and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Our Sports Centre contains courts for basketball, volleyball and badminton; a gym and weights room; and a dance studio.

Kindergarten

Our modern and open-plan Kindergarten setting is designed with the under-fives in mind. Spaces include construction and art areas, quiet spots, and resource and meeting rooms. These link together and open onto lush gardens, with opportunities for play and creativity.

Primary School

Years One and Two have dedicated central pods with adjoining classrooms, English language teaching areas, dining spaces and resource rooms. The self-contained pods are surrounded by play and reflective spaces, with sandpits, flower beds, bike tracks and social areas.

The classrooms for Years Three to Six are set around basketball courts, an astroturf, a wildlife pond and gardens. Each year group has a dedicated art room, and a suite of Apple Macs.

Other Primary facilities include our two-storey library, a media room with green-screen technology, and two air-conditioned halls for sports and gatherings.

Secondary School

Our Secondary classrooms are organised in teaching faculties around a central building and green common area. The built environment is open and contemporary, while the tropical gardens lend a sense of calm and productivity. We have a dedicated library and IB Common Room, and well-resourced faculty offices adjacent to the teaching areas.
