Welcome to the BSJ University Hub
We have a dedicated space in the centre of the Secondary School with counselling offices, a reception area and a presenting/workshop area for our many university visits and parent and student workshops which run throughout the year.
We begin working with students in Year 9 and continue to work with students each year until Year 13; therefore students have a comprehensive curriculum to ensure students are well prepared for their future choices whether that be selecting their IGCSE or subjects or writing university essays or making a short list for their university applications.

A common myth among students and parents that I'd love to debunk is that one should go to a high school with an American curriculum to be accepted by an elite US university. From my experience, that is definitely not the case.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, my university counsellor was always there to work hard with me to fight to secure my offer at my dream university.

I think the best thing about the university office at BSJ is that the university counsellors genuinely care about students

It can be extremely difficult to balance the demands of the IB Diploma and the rigorous application process for university. Yet, at BSJ, the support that I received from my counselors made it much easier than it could have been.

BSJ has a team of university counsellors that provided me with the support that was not just limited to applying to the universities; I was even able to understand where I saw myself living in my next academic chapter.
A Bridge to the World
Our department truly optimises our schools slogan of ‘A Bridge to the World’ as we help our students obtain entry into many of the most prestigious universities globally including those in the Ivy League, Top 20 US Universities, the Russell Group, the Australian Group of 8 and many many more in a range of subject areas spanning STEM, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities and Art and Design.
