Students are assessed upon entry and in their first few weeks to determine their English proficiency. Based on results, they receive personalised support across three levels:

1. New to English (NTE)
2. Early Acquisition (EA)
3. Developing Confidence (DC)

Support may include one-on-one lessons, small group sessions, or in-class assistance. Regular assessments ensure each student progresses steadily toward full English fluency and academic success.

Co-Curricular Activities

“Discover” Programme

Innovation meets imagination in BSJ’s “Discover” Programme, a new, child-centred approach designed for students from Year 1 to Year 6. This forward-thinking framework goes beyond traditional classroom instruction, giving students ownership of their learning.

The Discover Programme features mixed-age groupings from as young as early years school, where students aged 5 to 11 collaborate and learn from one another. This environment encourages cooperation, peer mentoring, and self-directed exploration.
