Taking the first step towards your child’s future at BSJ is simple and seamless.
- Begin by completing our online application form and sharing key details about your child and family.
- Once submitted, please proceed with the non-refundable application fee to activate your application.
- Our admissions team will begin reviewing your submission once all required information has been received.
- Kindly note Year 3, Year 8 and Year 9 applications for 2026-27 Academic Year, will be placed on a waiting list.

Submit an Application
- We must receive all required documentation, as explained in steps two and three before we can process an application.
- Submission of an application does not guarantee admission. Students' eligibility for enrollment will be reviewed based on documentation submitted by their parents/guardian.
Once your application has been submitted, the next step is to provide the required supporting documents.
To ensure a smooth and timely process, applications will only move forward once all required documents have been received and reviewed.

Reports such as psychological evaluations, medical records, or Individual Learning Plans to help us support your child effectively.

International Passport Holder
Non-Indonesian from Local Schools in Indonesia
1. Photograph
A colour photograph of the applicant (3x4 cm, white background, JPEG file)
2. Passport and Visas
A copy of the passport (cover page, picture page, vital information page, expiration date - minimum of 18 months validity) of the applicant and parents (PDF, in a ZIP file)
3. KITAS/KITAP/DINAS
A copy of the temporary residence permit for the applicant and both parents. If you are still in the process of obtaining any of these visas, then you will need to submit a sponsorship letter from your employer or sponsoring organisation. (PDF, in a ZIP file)
4. Certificate of Residence - SKTT
A copy of the certificate of residence for the applicant and both parents (PDF file)
5. Students' National Registration Number
Students' National Registration Number stated in transfer letter from the previous school
6. Last Two Years Reports from the Previous School
The school record for the past two years where the applicant is old enough to possess them, in English or officially translated in English (PDF, in a ZIP file)
7. Reference Letter from the previous school (only applicable for Year 3 and above applicants)
As we need to send out the “Academic Reference Request” and “Student Safeguarding and Child Protection Declaration Form”, please provide your child’s previous school admissions email address.
The school will need to fill in and sign to proceed with your application process.
8. Certificate level of completion (if any)

Entry Assessment
All applicants are required to complete an age-appropriate assessment as part of the admissions process.
This allows us to understand each student’s readiness and ensure the best possible fit within our learning environment.
Kindergarten
Children applying to Kindergarten will take part in a ‘Getting to know you’ session, focusing on their personal, social, and developmental readiness.
Primary School (Years 1–6)
- Years 1–2
A meeting with the Primary Leadership Team to observe speaking, listening, and numeracy skills. - Years 3–6
Students complete a CAT4 assessment, a writing sample, and a meeting with the Primary Leadership Team.
Secondary School (Years 7–13)
- All applicants complete an assessment followed by an interview with the Secondary Leadership Team.
- Assessments may include CAT4 and NGRT tests depending on the year group.
- English Language Requirement (if applicable)
Students may be required to complete a WIDA English proficiency test to determine appropriate support levels.
Important Note
The assessment process is designed to ensure that each student can thrive within BSJ’s academic programme and benefit fully from the learning experience.

Application Decision
Once all stages of the admissions process are complete, your child’s application will be carefully reviewed.
Final decisions are made by the Head of Primary (Kindergarten to Year 6) or the Head of Secondary (Year 7 to Year 13), ensuring each application is considered individually and thoughtfully.
How We Make Decisions
Our aim is to ensure the best possible fit between each student and the BSJ learning environment. Decisions are based on:
- Academic records and previous school reports
- Completion of required assessments and interviews
- English language proficiency (where applicable)
- The student’s readiness to access the BSJ curriculum
- The level of support available to meet the student’s needs
Application Outcome
If your application is successful:
- You will receive an official Acceptance Letter and Confirmation Statement
- An invoice will be issued for the New Enrolment Deposit (NED), School Fees, and Capital Levy Contribution (CLC)
- Your child’s place is confirmed upon payment within the required timeline
If a place cannot be offered:
- This may be due to capacity, academic readiness, or the level of support required
- Our Admissions team will inform you of the outcome
